mindwrap, inc.

(October 2013 - May 2014)

Overview

My work at mindwrap focused on implementation, integration, and hands-on delivery of enterprise content and archive systems in customer environments. The role sat at the intersection of product capability, customer workflow, and real-world operational constraints.

This period sharpened my ability to translate abstract system features into concrete, usable processes for end users.

Scope of work

As an Implementation Specialist, I worked directly with customers to deploy, configure, and validate Optix systems in production environments. This included training end users, supporting installation and setup, and helping customers identify how the platform could support their specific business processes rather than forcing generic workflows.

Alongside implementation work, I developed custom integration and proof-of-concept tooling to bridge gaps between Optix and external systems. This included writing custom software to interface with the Optix Workstation and Archive Server, as well as supporting early integrations with third-party platforms.

I also participated in end-to-end testing and rollout of major product releases, including the first live customer deployment of Optix COLD 8.

Lasting value

mindwrap reinforced the importance of meeting systems where they are actually used: understanding customer workflows, validating assumptions in production, and ensuring that integrations behave correctly under real operating conditions. That experience continues to inform how I approach system design, integration, and operational readiness in later roles.

This page provides context for a short but formative role. Broader discussion of systems integration and operational approach is covered in the Warehousing and Logistics Systems section.
